Welcome to WorkCover’s Safety Self-Assessment Tool.

This tool has been developed to give small and medium sized businesses an indication of how well they are handling their workplace health, safety and injury management and provide further guidance for improvement.

By answering a series of questions, it will:

• help you to understand how well you identify and manage health, safety and injured workers in your business, and in particular, workplace hazards
• enable you to compare your performance anonymously with other businesses across sectors and sizes
• provide you with guidance to help you improve your management of workplace health, safety and injured workers.

The questionnaire should take about 20 minutes to complete, is free to use and confidential. Any information you submit will only be used to calculate your score and for benchmarking against other businesses who also complete the self-assessment. You are the only person that will be able to access your results.

Safe business is good business and can increase morale and productivity with your workers, improve your workers compensation claims and your public reputation with customers and the community.
